On The Rise Bread Co., has been passionate about creating artisan breads in Bozeman, Montana since 1997. Nearly all of our bread is naturally leavened with a starter we call Desem, which means “starter” in Flemish. Our Desem has been in continuous use for 29 years. All of the flour and grains used for our naturally leavened loaves are locally grown. We stone grind our whole grains; use filtered water and sea salt in all of our dough. At On the Rise we seek to bring our customers a loaf that is as beautiful to behold, as it is to taste. Our hearty artisan loaves provoke deep rustic flavors and aromas. On The Rise uses pure and simple ingredients, then handcrafts each loaf into its own unique shape. You can taste the energy and dedication that goes into each loaf.
On The Rise is dedicated to delivering a better product; something that’s good for you and good for our community. That’s why we source all of our wheat from the fields of Montana and partner with local food producers whenever possible.
We accept special orders from our wholesale accounts and the general public. Orders must be placed 48 hours before pickup*. For special events and custom products, we suggest that you schedule a sampling of the product prior to the pickup date. We regularly cater to special requests and are able to work with you in order to meet all your needs. Sometimes it’s just more fun to make something at home. To that end, we offer a variety of doughs, fresh out of the mixer, for home use. We find ourselves having a hard time keeping the shelves stocked with our pizza dough each day.
