Honey Whole Wheat

We are often asked if we make a sourdough bread, and the short answer is yes. The more involved answer though, is that all of our artisan breads contain our whole wheat sourdough starter we lovingly call “mother.” Our Honey Whole Wheat loaf is no different, though you’d never
think of it as a sourdough. Unlike a traditional San Fransisco sourdough, this loaf is mild and nutty in flavor, is dense in crumb and has an ever so slightly caramelized crust. We hear that most people use this one for toast, but it goes awfully well with cold cuts and your favorite cheese too.

Ingredients: Montana unbleached wheat flour, water, fresh ground Montana hard red whole wheat flour, honey, wheat germ, flax seed, sea salt
